Line Skis, the young, hardcore freeski brand, founded by Jason Levinthal in 1995, helped pioneer the ‘new school’ freestyle and freeride ski movement and has been one of the brands responsible for making skiing cool again. Line’s innovative twin-tips like the Afterbang skis or their super fat, big mountain Prophet skis, or the women’s version, new for 2010/2011, the Celebrity 90 ski, to go anywhere, ski anything in search of those powder sweet spots, with their progressive designs and sweet graphics are the preferred tools for the new generation of freeskiers pushing the limits of the sport.

Line were the first company to market only twin-tip skis, sliding pavement or snow, grinding steel or wood, stomping tricks, slamming hard and getting back up again, the terrain, abuse and mentality originating from skate, is Line’s inspiration, and ultimately for taking the biggest kicker in the park or bringing jibber-style to big mountain, freeride ski terrain. This is the mindset that fuels the progression of the sport and for those at Line, the progression of their most innovative products. Line demand that you ‘think different, ride different, be different so the world will never be the same…for the good of the sport. Ski & Destroy!’

All-Mountain Prophet & Celebrity Skis:
Big Mountain ‘fatties’ to help you compete with the Skandi freeskiers in the lift queues, although something a bit different from the louder, in-your-face styling of your usual twin-tip ski, with subtle, zen-like graphics. The hugely versatile Prophet skis have the power, float and stability you need from an all mountain fat ski, to go anywhere, ski anything yet retains the responsiveness and thus control you need on the piste when you’re travelling to the backcountry.

With the all out success of Line’s Prophet skis last winter season, and with the trend moving towards ever bigger and fatter skis, for 2010/2011 Line have increased the Prophet ski range and added a Prophet 115 ski, alongside the Prophet 100 ski and Prophet 90 ski. And, so the girlies can also have a bit of the action, Line have introduced the Celebrity 90 ski, a women’s version of the Prophet 90.

Ski And Destroy, Afterbang Skis
Line’s Afterbang ski is the original twin-tip jibstick, but built with a deck like a skateboard, Line's Deck Construction. For sliding on pavement or snow, grinding steel or wood, stomping tricks, slamming hard and getting back up again, only with more determination. The harder the trick the more satisfaction once you’ve nailed it. You know the pro kids in the movies scraping together any last remnant of snow to make a decent-ish landing off a 12ft handrail, scraping themselves off the pavement or peeling themselves off the steel. The Afterbang ski makes your back yard your playground and on out to sailing kickers built on your local hill, to half-pipe to park and out to the backcountry.
