At LD Mountain Centre we take products from Nike ACG's 'All Mountain' category, primarily aimed at the snowboard, ski and freeride market. With slick styling that’s certainly at home on the snow or street, ACG use technical, waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex fabrics but at a fraction of the price. Their All Mountain Gore-Tex jacket and All Mountain Gore-Tex pant are a benchmark of ACG’s unique styling at bargain prices. They say the pieces from this collection are designed for the shredder who takes on the mountain as a whole, from jibstacles to pow to trees, it is all their stomping ground.
From mountains to the metropolis - Nike ACG’s primary focus is, of course, to design a full range that caters to the everyday needs of outdoor fanatics everywhere, whether intended for use in the great outdoors or the concrete jungle. Nike, although a sportswear brand, has been readily adopted as streetwear, so in keeping with this trend, ACG too, design products that work, whenever, wherever, in all conditions; technically forward yet styled for versatility.
This year a 30 year heritage in the outdoors and the 20th anniversary of the brand Nike ACG, sees their original mission statement still ringing true: to continue to set a benchmark within the outdoor and snowsports market, creating technical product, styled for versatility, in a flavour that is different and unique to the rest of the outdoor industry. Nike ACG is an exciting line of athletic & lifestyle products with a typical Nike point of view on.
Backed by the global corporation Nike, this brand is able to bring you product with r & d and exceptional value that other brands can only dream of. It started 30 years ago, in September 1978, when John Roskelley and fellow team member challenged convention, hiking up to basecamp with lightweight Nike running shoes, on what would be the first American expedition to stand atop K2. In the words of Roskelley, this was not the acceptable norm at this point in time. Good thing ACG don’t believe in norms. By sending a photo to Nike, little did they know they would start a revolution, inspiring Nike to create Nike Hiking, which would then become Nike All Conditions Gear(ACG).
