Deuter’s rucksacks fall into a number of distinct categories:
Alpine Category – For Deuter’s alpine category the combination of comfort, durability, functionality with superior weight efficiency is utmost. These top of range, technical backpacks, like the Guides, are constructed with Deuter’s Alpine Back System. Two padded foam stripes run vertically up the rucksack, providing carrying stability and comfort, with a ‘chimney’ effect ventilation between the stripes. Deuter’s breathable and durable 3D AirMesh is used on all points of contact.
Hiking – containing Deuter’s everyday hiking packs, the Futura and Futura Pro ranges, this category comprises of small to medium backpacks for shorter length activities on easier terrain yet where maximum ventilation is key. Deuter’s patented Aircomfort system prevents heat blockage and allows moist air to escape. In the larger models, the Aircomfort Vari Flex System combines the clever mesh back ventilation with superb load transfer through the pivoting Vari Flex hip fins.
