LD Mountain Centre is one of the largest independent outdoor shops, including ski and snowboard equipment, in the UK. Based in the city centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, we stock a huge range of outdoor clothing and outdoor equipment from walking, hiking, climbing to mountaineering from premium, leading outdoor brands including Berghaus, The North Face, Mountain Equipment, Deuter, Scarpa, Arcteryx, Haglofs, Helly Hansen, Merrell, Grivel and Icebreaker.

We stock outdoor clothing including waterproof jackets, waterproof trousers, soft shells, fleece, down jackets and down vests, trekking shirts, lightweight walking trousers, trekking pants, merino wool baselayer and synthetic base layers from a variety of brands to suit all budgets like The North Face, Berghaus, Arcteryx, Haglofs, Icebreaker, Helly Hansen and Mountain Equipment.

Our outdoor equipment consists of outdoor footwear, rucksacks, daypacks, duffle bags, outdoor travel bags, sleeping bags and camping equipment. Our fully dedicated climbing department stocks climbing equipment and climbing shoes from Scarpa, La Sportiva, Wildcountry, Grivel and Black Diamond, and we also have a huge range of outdoor accessories from Outdoor Research, Berghaus, The North Face and Tilley hats with waterproof gloves, fleece gloves, windstopper gloves, beanies, windstopper hats, lightweight trekking hats and Buffs.  Last but not least, our range of socks from Ultimax, Teko and 1000 Mile will cover any activity from walking, hiking, trekking and running.
